Tehari Recipe
Ingredients:
- Polao rice – 500g
- Beef – 500g
- Yogurt – 1 cup
- Sliced onions – 1 cup
- Cilantro paste – 2 tablespoons
- Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
- Ginger paste – 1 tablespoon
- Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
- Green chilies – 10–12
- Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
- Oil and ghee – ½ cup
- Salt to taste
Cooking Method:
- Marinate the beef with yogurt, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and ginger paste for 1 hour.
- Mix cilantro paste, green chili paste, and ground black pepper into a smooth mixture.
- Heat oil in a pan, add the paste and marinated beef, and sauté. Add water as needed. Once the meat is tender, add the rice and stir for 2 minutes.
- Add hot water in a ratio of 1.5 times the amount of rice. Once the water and rice are level, cover and cook on low heat (dum) for 15 minutes.
- Before serving, drizzle ghee over the Tehari and enjoy.
