Tehari Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Polao rice – 500g
  2. Beef – 500g
  3. Yogurt – 1 cup
  4. Sliced onions – 1 cup
  5. Cilantro paste – 2 tablespoons
  6. Garlic paste – 1 tablespoon
  7. Ginger paste – 1 tablespoon
  8. Coriander powder – 1 tablespoon
  9. Cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
  10. Green chilies – 10–12
  11. Black pepper – ½ teaspoon
  12. Oil and ghee – ½ cup
  13. Salt to taste

Cooking Method:

  1. Marinate the beef with yogurt, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt, and ginger paste for 1 hour.
  2. Mix cilantro paste, green chili paste, and ground black pepper into a smooth mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, add the paste and marinated beef, and sauté. Add water as needed. Once the meat is tender, add the rice and stir for 2 minutes.
  4. Add hot water in a ratio of 1.5 times the amount of rice. Once the water and rice are level, cover and cook on low heat (dum) for 15 minutes.
  5. Before serving, drizzle ghee over the Tehari and enjoy.
