Make Popcorn Chicken very easily and quickly at home. Chicken popcorn is the most popular food in the world.
Ingredients:
- Chicken pieces
- 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
- 1 tablespoon Onion paste
- 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
- 1 teaspoon Chili powder (adjust to taste)
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon Vinegar
- Salt to taste
- Bread flour (as required)
- All-purpose flour (as required)
- 1 packet Maggi masala
- Oil for frying
For the Sauce:
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 cup Soybean oil
- 2-3 tablespoons Sugar
- 2 tablespoons Chili sauce
- 2 tablespoons Tomato sauce
- 1 tablespoon Vinegar
- Cucumber (chopped)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Sauce:
- In a blender, combine milk, soybean oil, sugar, chili sauce, tomato sauce, and vinegar.
- Blend until smooth.
- Add chopped cucumber and mix well.
- Set aside the sauce.
2. Making Chicken Popcorn:
- Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces.
- In a bowl, mix chicken with ginger paste, garlic paste, onion paste, oregano, chili powder, egg, soy sauce, vinegar, and salt.
- Cover and marinate for 30 minutes.
3. Coating:
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, bread powder, Maggi masala, and a pinch of salt.
- Coat the marinated chicken pieces with the flour mixture.
- Refrigerate coated chicken for 15-30 minutes.
4. Frying:
- Heat oil in a pan to medium flame.
- Fry the coated chicken pieces until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from oil and place on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
5. Serving:
- Serve the homemade Popcorn Chicken with the prepared sauce.
